Tom Reed is an actor, writer, director, and improviser whose middle name starts with the letter B.
A stage and screen actor/writer, Reed's experience ranges from sketch comedy (nearly 20 Brave New Workshop Mainstage shows) to musicals and plays (INTERSTATE: A New Musical (world premiere), Gloria, Next to Normal at Mixed Blood Theatre), along with short films ("best actor" 2015 48 Hour Film Project) and TV (Lady Dynamite). As a creator, Reed's sharp, satirical voice and daring, virtuosic musical improv have delighted legions at Brave New Workshop, Minnesota Fringe Festival and HUGE Improv Theater. Reed’s drawn particular notoriety for epic one-man musical parodies of everything from Game of Thrones to Harry Potter, in particular, Star Tribune called Reed’s Stranger Things: Netflix and KILL “Drop dead funny." As a horror writer/director, City Pages said "Reed nails it with the spine-tinglingly relatable Greenway.”
When he’s not performing or writing, Tom is probably on his bike or playing some sort of game.
